Hygiene

Hygiene is of the utmost importance, and children are taught basic hygiene principles. Our school will practice good hygiene such as the following:

·         Gloves are worn when changing nappies by staff;

·         Nappy change areas will be disinfected with anti-bacterial air spray, and all surfaces are disinfected before and after each nappy change;

·         Toilet facilities are cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis;

·         Should any child be sick we will contact the parent to collect them and only return once they are better;

In the event of any injury, blood will be treated very carefully with gloves worn by staff and the areas cleaned and disinfected thoroughly.

Safety

Safety is also a critical part of the school. Access to the school is strictly controlled by cameras and security control. With the school being situated on the first floor it is impossible for anyone to access the premises any other way. Anyone who will have access to the children will be sufficiently qualified for the role, well-screened and monitored by the teachers constantly.

At the parent interviews, we will enquire as to who will be authorised to collect the child (ren)  after school and no access will be given to unauthorised people.
